Tastings
We offer tastings of 5 wines for $5 per person, which is waived (by individual) with a wine purchase. Our knowledgeable tasting room staff will guide you through a tasting of our award winning wines and talk about the history and story of Blue Grouse. Wine Tasting Cost: $5/per person. Executive tastings and group tours
Enjoy a tasting with a tour of our cellar; learn about the vineyard, winemaking process and history for any size group - please book ahead for this option. Tasting Room
Family-owned, sustainably-farmed and award-winning, Blue Grouse Estate Winery welcomes you.
Our architect found inspiration for the design of our Tasting Room from the shape of our namesake, the Blue Grouse. The lovely curve of the grouse’s head and neck inspired the roofline and inside a curved ceiling reminds visitors of a grouse’s belly. The entrance highlights a beautiful shade of blue from the grouse’s tail feathers. In addition, the use of British Columbia and Vancouver Island products, including the beams and locally quarried stone, a closed loop water system and geothermal energy ensured we were accountable to Mother Nature.
Picnics
At Blue Grouse, we really like to eat! Our winemaker has been active in the farm-to-table movement for 20 years and we do what we can to support the efforts of local food producers.
We offer locally made cheese and charcuterie boards daily or bring your own snacks and gather in our licensed outdoor picnic area with some perfectly matched Blue Grouse wines.
Group Visits
Bring your covey of friends to visit Blue Grouse! We encourage reservations for groups of six or more, so we can ensure that we have a member of our knowledgeable staff dedicated to guiding your party through a tasting of our award-winning wines.
The cost for a tasting is $5 per person for 5 wines, which is individually refunded on the purchase of a bottle of wine if your group is under 15 people.
| Tastings for 15-25 People
To ensure the best possible experience, we require advanced booking for your large group. Please note that we cannot refund tasting fees against the purchases for such large groups. Cost: $5/per person for tasting only or $10/per person for a tasting and tour (no refunds). |
Tastings for 25-50 People
We can comfortably accommodate up to 50 people (max) at one time. Cost: $10/per person for tasting and tour. |
